Contract Completion Status
A Contract Completion Status transaction (567) is used to report the final status of a contract and its fulfillment. Typically sent by a contractor or service provider to a client or project manager, this transaction documents contract closure, completion milestones, or final deliverable status. The BC (Beginning Segment for Contract Completion Status) segment initiates the message and establishes its context, while the CS (Contract Summary) segment within the mandatory CS Loop provides details about each contract being reported, including completion metrics and outcomes. The AMT (Monetary Amount) segment captures financial totals associated with contract completion, such as final invoiced amounts or cost adjustments.
ABC Construction Company sends a Contract Completion Status message to Pinnacle Development Corp. to formally close out a commercial building project contract. The BC segment indicates the submission date and contract completion notification type. Within the CS Loop, the CS segment references the specific contract number and completion percentage (100%), while the AMT segment records the final contract value of $2,500,000. The G62 segments record the actual project completion date and the status submission date. Optional N1 segments identify the project site location and the responsible project manager contact information, with NTE segments documenting any outstanding punch-list items or warranty terms that remain in effect post-completion.
