Stedi vs Orderful
Stedi's product is focused on healthcare1. Stedi's 2026 keynote recap2 describes its new features as a full headless revenue cycle management engine. Stedi's EDI Platform page offers to exchange X12 HIPAA EDI3 with any provider, payer or EHR system.
Orderful, on the other hand, sells supply-chain EDI on a network of 10,000+ partners4. They charge platform access plus per-trading-partner fees5, and Web EDI Fulfillment costs $189 a month6 per partner.
Tediware is typically 1/10th to 1/3rd the cost of traditional EDI companies, a cost advantage achieved because you build your EDI integration with AI. You can connect your coding agent to your Tediware account through an MCP server, a feature Orderful lacks, eliminating the need for costly consultants and setup fees.
Stedi offers MCP as well7, but it handles eligibility checks and payer search, not general-purpose EDI.
Tediware ships an official command-line tool, while Stedi publishes SDKs on GitHub8. Neither Stedi nor Orderful ships a CLI.
Tediware, Stedi and Orderful all offer a REST API with webhooks: Tediware's webhooks deliver inbound transactions as well as delivery notifications. Stedi delivers events9 to a URL you set, and Orderful posts transactions10 to your HTTP endpoint. Tediware supports all X12 transaction sets and every release from 3060 onward, with unlimited trading partners on every plan.
