The Agentic EDI Autonomy Scale: Defining The EDI Industry's Next Battlefield
There's a battle taking place right now between EDI companies over the future of the industry in the context of artificial intelligence. Which companies have earned the right to advertise agentic EDI? To answer this question, we need a framework.

Encouraging other people's agents to improve my platform
As more people use coding agents, the experience that those agents are having is increasingly important. I've designed something novel: an API for those agents to send me their ideas and suggestions as they work with Tediware.

Build a sandbox partner and experiment with sending and receiving EDI
One click builds a complete working trading partner (Walmart or Petco) with a connection, mappings, flows, and seeded documents, so you can run a real inbound and outbound exchange and then take it apart to see how it works.
-
Generate source for outbound mappings
A new "Generate" action proposes the JSON shape your own system should emit for an outbound mapping based on your CSV, SQL schema, list of column names, or nothing at all.

What rare earths and chip controls predict about the Fable shutdown
The US administration's decision to shut down Claude Mythos 5 and Fable 5 on Friday doesn't just jeopardize Anthropic. It jeopardizes the future of the entire US AI industry. Because when people realize that it takes just the stroke of a pen to cut them off from an essential resource, they start planning for a future where they are no longer vulnerable.

Poll-only flows: consume your EDI without hosting a webhook
Inbound partners that can't host a webhook can now pull their EDI from a cursor-paginated feed instead.
-
Sandbox webhooks: see a real delivery before you build your endpoint
A sandbox webhook delivers to an in-app sink, so you can inspect a real delivery and watch signature verification before you stand up an endpoint of your own.

Never accidentally leave a placeholder in a mapping
We have added placeholder tracking to mappings so that placeholder, temporary and synthesized data is impossible to miss.
-
contentType added to API results + other API changes
When you fetch a processing result from the platform Results API, each step lists the files it produced as `artifacts`. Until now, those artifacts told you only whether a file was the `input` or the `output` of the step - not what kind of file it was. Every artifact now includes a `contentType`, the file's MIME type, so you can select a file by what it is rather than inferring its format from the processing direction.

Private equity's impact on EDI
Private equity has been purchasing vet clinics, dental practices and funeral homes, and people are furious about it. Prices go up, service declines and people get mad, but they're stuck. It's the same pattern in EDI.
-
Automated 997 acknowledgments now supported
Tediware now supports sending 997 acknowledgments automatically - just check a box and you're done.
-
A developer's guide to EDI
I just released a guide about EDI, aimed at developers and technical people, that treats readers like they're more than a wallet.
-
A new kind of EDI platform
I’ve spent the past 1.5 years working on this project and it's gratifying to finally release it to the EDI community. Tediware is for people who are problem-solvers and want to work with clean APIs.
